Most charity events teams do not have a dedicated production manager. You are coordinating the venue, the caterer, the auctioneers and the entertainment alongside the AV. We assign a named technical director from the first conversation. That person handles hotel access, liaises with entertainment management on technical riders, attends the site visit and runs the show on the night. You brief one person and that person is accountable.
