Event AV Company for Agencies

The Technical Partner Your Agency Actually Needs

You've been burned before. An AV company that looked great on paper, cut corners on the rig, and left you fielding client calls at 11pm. Lux Technical is the production partner agencies come back to because we treat your brief the same way you do: nothing is acceptable except a flawless event.

The problem we understand

Your name goes on the event. Not ours. That's why we take that seriously.

Every event agency knows the feeling. You briefed an AV company who seemed solid, quoted competitively, and then on the day something broke, the load-in ran late, or the LD hadn't read the run of show. You fixed it because you always do. But the client noticed.

The issue is rarely budget. It's briefing the wrong technical partner. A company that does corporate events on Tuesday and hen parties on Saturday is not built for the level of production your clients expect. You need a technical team that lives in the same world you do.

  • Named technical director assigned to every event, present from recce to load-out
  • Pre-event tech spec issued as standard, not requested
  • Kit maintained in-house, not subhired on the Friday before your Saturday event
  • Staging, AV, lighting and scenic fabrication all under one roof
  • Full production documentation so your team is never without a plan B
  • A team that knows what a brand LD does, and why your creative brief matters to them

What we do

Every technical element your agency needs from one production partner.

The fewer suppliers you manage on an event, the fewer things can go wrong. Lux Technical handles the full production stack: from the first site recce through to load-out, under one contract, with one point of contact.

🎥

AV Production

PA systems, front of house, in-ear monitors, microphone management, video playback and content delivery. We own our kit and maintain it in-house. No last-minute sub-hires. For every event we produce the same level of technical spec we'd expect if your MD was in the room.

🏢

Staging and Set Build

From a clean conference platform to a fully custom scenic build for a product launch. We design, fabricate and install in-house. No outsourcing the build to a joinery company who's never worked a live event. Structures are signed off with load calculations before they go anywhere near a venue.

LED Video Walls

Modular LED wall solutions from single-format backdrops to complex multi-surface configurations. Pixel pitch matched to viewing distance. Content format specifications provided at brief stage so your creative team isn't guessing. We've installed LED walls from 10sqm gallery installations to 150sqm outdoor brand activations.

Lighting Design

Creative lighting design for brand events, activations and awards. Intelligent rigs, moving heads, gobo monograms, architectural uplighting. Our LD works from your brief and your creative references, not a default rig from last month. Lighting transformed for photography and video so the event looks as good on screen as it did in the room.

Scenic Fabrication

Custom scenic elements, branded structures, archways, feature walls and bespoke set pieces. We fabricate in our own workshop, which means we can work to a brief that changes up to two weeks before the event and still deliver. Storage and refurb for assets that return across multiple activations.

One-Stop Production

The full package under one contract: AV, staging, lighting, scenic and site management. One brief, one point of contact, one invoice. No coordinating between an AV company and a staging company who've never worked together and both blame each other when the rigging spec doesn't match the truss plan.

Why agencies cut the supplier list ›
From the field

Events you'd recognise. Production you wouldn't notice.

The best technical production is invisible. If your guests are talking about the AV, something went wrong. They should be talking about the brand, the moment, the experience.

Product Launch

Global automotive brand, London venue, 600 pax

Full AV, custom 40-metre LED backdrop, motorised reveal rigging and a four-piece lighting rig programmed to the second. Brief-to-delivery in six weeks. Two technical rehearsals with client creative director present. Loaded in over two days without disrupting the venue's other bookings.

Zero technical issues on event day. Client-confirmed NPS: 9.4/10.
Brand Activation

Fashion brand activation, pop-up venue, 3-day run

Multi-room LED installation, spatial audio, custom scenic elements and a full reset each morning before doors opened. Crew on site from 6am. Content delivery managed in-house with a dedicated operator throughout the activation. The agency's in-house creative team worked alongside ours in the venue without any friction.

Rebooked for the same activation series across two further markets.
Award Ceremony

Industry awards, hotel ballroom, 450 pax

Custom staging with branded set piece, full PA system including table side audio, video presentation playback for 32 award categories and a full lighting show for the room. Single point of contact from first brief call. Load-in completed in seven hours at a venue with hotel guest access constraints.

Third consecutive year producing this ceremony. Brief gets shorter each year because trust is already established.
Conference

Technology company conference, Manchester, 800 pax two days

Main stage production with 4K projection blend, live streaming to remote offices, panel session audio management and full content delivery operation. An eight-person technical team on site for three days. Remote streaming platform briefed and tested a week before. Signal chain tested end to end 48 hours before doors open.

Stream quality rated 'excellent' by 94% of remote attendees. Agency rebook rate: year three.
What makes us different

The things agencies tell us matter, once they've worked with someone who doesn't do them.

👥
Named TD, not a roulette wheel

Every event has a named technical director from the first call. Not a random crew allocation on the morning. The same person who heard the brief is the person running the show.

📄
Pre-event documentation as standard

Patch list, stage plan, run of show (technical), crew call sheet and content spec issued before you ask for them. Not because we're covering ourselves. Because a prepared crew is a better crew.

🛠
Own kit, maintained in-house

Everything we quote is in our warehouse. We don't sub-hire because our own gear was already booked. Our workshop does full PPM between every event. You'll never arrive at load-in to find we borrowed someone else's rig.

📈
Honest quoting, not change order farming

We price the brief we're given, not the minimum needed to win the job. If a site recce reveals something that affects cost, we tell you before it happens, not after you've signed.

🌟
Production that serves the creative

Our team reads the brand deck. The LD looks at the colour palette. The staging designer reads the run of show, not just the stage dimensions. Technical production that supports creative intent rather than defaulting to whatever rig we did last week.

📱
Available when you need us

Events don't break at 9am on a Tuesday. If something needs rethinking at 8pm the night before load-in, someone picks up. Not a ticket. Not an out-of-office. A person who knows your event.

How it works

From brief to event day.

Five steps the same every time, because consistency is how you avoid surprises.

1

Brief call

30 minutes. We ask the questions that matter and tell you what we think, not what we think you want to hear.

2

Site recce

Technical director and LD visit the venue. No quoting without one. Avoids surprises at load-in.

3

Spec and quote

Full technical specification issued with the quote so you know exactly what you're buying and can present it confidently to your client.

4

Pre-production

Production documentation, content briefing, crew scheduling and client run-of-show review completed before any kit leaves the warehouse.

5

Event delivery

Your named TD runs the day. You manage the client. We make the production talk look exactly like it did in the brief.

What agencies say

From the people who've been in the room with us.

We've worked with a lot of AV companies. The difference with Lux is that their TD actually reads the brief. When we had a late creative change at 6pm the night before the event, they'd already thought through the technical implications without us having to ask.

The staging for the product launch was exactly what the brief asked for. Not a compromise, not a near enough. Three weeks from brief to build, seven hours to load in, and the client's creative director signed off on site without a single change. That doesn't happen by accident.

Common questions

Things agencies ask before the first brief.

Can you handle full end-to-end production including staging and scenic, or do we need to bring in other suppliers?+
Full end-to-end, including AV, staging, LED video walls, lighting design and scenic fabrication, all under one contract. We have our own workshop for set and scenic builds. The benefits are practical: one brief, one point of contact, one invoice, and nobody to blame each other if something doesn't fit. Most agencies tell us that cutting the supplier list was the best decision they made.
How do you handle tight project timelines? We often have events confirmed four to six weeks out.+
Four to six weeks is our working norm, not an exception. We hold kit availability based on expressions of interest, not just signed contracts, so we can provisionally reserve for a brief while you're still in client approval. Site recce happens within a week of brief confirmation. The only genuine constraint is scenic fabrication for complex custom builds, which needs six to eight weeks for the most complex elements.
We've had AV companies quote for kit and then sub-hire on the day. How do we know that won't happen here?+
Ask us for our kit inventory before you sign. We'll give it to you. Everything quoted is in our warehouse. We do sub-hire for specialist items (rare format lenses, venue-specific rigging, very large LED wall extensions) and when we do, we tell you at quote stage and name the supplier. No surprises on the truck on load-in morning.
Do you work with in-house agency creative and content teams, or do you need everything to come through a single contact?+
We work directly with whoever owns each technical area. Creative director on look and feel, producer on run of show, content team on video spec. The TD coordinates it all. We don't need everything funnelled through one person, and we find events run smoother when the relevant people can talk to each other directly without a relay chain.
What happens if something goes technically wrong on the day?+
Every event is built with redundancy. Spare signal paths, spare fixtures, spare microphone packs, spare media players. The crew knows the plan B before they arrive on site. In 13 years of event production we have never had to stop an event for a technical failure. We've had near misses. The redundancy is what saved them.
How do you handle events in venues you haven't worked before?+
Site recce before any quote. TD will visit, take measurements, photograph rigging points, check power supply, map access routes, note any restrictions. Venue technical packs are requested first and read properly. If the venue has constraints that affect the brief, you'll know before you've signed anything.
